The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the teams qualified for the World Cup playoffs will know their opponents on January 26. Super Eagles of Nigeria sealed their spot in the final round of the qualifiers after seeing off Cape Verde following a 1-1 draw in Lagos, to top their group. CAF held a general congress and reached a decision that the draws for the two-legged playoff matches will take place on January 26, 2022.
